The Camera Monitoring Website software is a Windows web (ASP.Net)
application that can start/stop an instance of
Windows
Media Encoder
running on the web server. It can also load a .wme
session file and start the encoding process. This allows you
to
do things like remotely turn on your webcam for viewing in a web
browser. And because it runs within the web server, any user
currently logged on to the box will not see any indication of
monitoring. This makes it perfect for spying on your
untrustworthy roommate/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband/dog/etc!
A functional site showing how the software works can be viewed
here.
System requirements:
- A version of Windows that can run IIS and ASP.Net 2.0 (XP
Pro, Server 2003, etc.)
- Windows
Media Encoder (free!) and a camera/microphone that
is compatible with it.
- A web browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox with
the ActiveX
plug in.)
The program is being sold for $25 (see
license)
and can be purchased
via the PayPal link below. With receipt of this payment you
will be sent a compiled copy of the software (no source
code.) Limited support, such as installation help, may
also be provided.

Note: The
.Net Framework 2.0 must also be installed for the software to
run.
